Typing games and the joys of code reuse
After finishing Hangman, a thought occurred to me. My main problem with Vortex has been handling collisions so I’ve come up with an ingenious solution that also saves a lot of time coding.
I’ve decided that Vortex is going to be a typing game. Now instead of reflecting the asteroids away, you can blow them up by typing the words on them. I’ve been able to reuse most of my Word class from Hangman.
My next task is to multithread displaying the graphics and getting keyboard input. I’ve never worked with threads before so this will be a good learning experience.
