Happy Birthday Sir Shadlington (III)

A digital portrait for a friend who wanted to be more ‘like a sir’.

I’m really happy with how this turned out (which is actually quite rare). It was only intended to be a sketch, but it was going so well I felt like adding some more dimension to it. This was all painted on one layer in GIMP in one day start to finish.

He was really happy with this and it reminded me that I really love painting, and I really love painting for other people, especially when they don’t expect it. I’ve not painted for a while and I’m going to try and get back into it from now on.
